During the second quarter of 2022, Costa Rica's top food delivery service apps on the iOS platform exhibited notable trends in downloads and active user metrics. Here’s a closer look at the performance of the leading apps:

PedidosYa - Delivery App saw a mixed trend in weekly downloads, starting at around 2.4K in early April and peaking at 4.1K mid-month. However, by the end of June, downloads had declined to approximately 1.8K. Active users for this app were more stable, rising from 27.3K at the beginning of April to a peak of 32.1K in late April, and then maintaining an average of around 30K throughout the quarter.

DiDi Food - Food Delivery experienced a modest fluctuation in downloads, starting at 1.3K at the end of March and peaking at 2.4K in mid-April. By the end of June, downloads were around 1.2K. Active users showed a steady pattern, starting at 13.1K and reaching a peak of 15.6K in late April, then stabilizing around 14K towards the end of the quarter.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery recorded a relatively stable download pattern, beginning at 1.3K in late March and peaking at 1.9K in late April. By the end of June, downloads were about 1.3K. Active user numbers exhibited a slight decline from 26.6K in late March to approximately 23.4K by the end of June.

Rappi: Market and Food Online showed a consistent download trend, starting at around 486 in late March and fluctuating to a peak of 669 in late April, before settling at 512 by the end of June. Active users for Rappi were relatively stable, starting at 13.3K and peaking at 14.1K in late April, maintaining around 13.5K by the end of the quarter.

Glovo: Food Delivery and more had the lowest download numbers among the top five, starting at 201 in late March and peaking at 253 in mid-June. Active users for Glovo showed a significant increase, starting at 13.1K in late March and rising sharply to 20.2K by mid-June, ending the quarter at 19.7K.
